EEAT

Why EEAT, the google concept, is applicable universally?

EEAT has been well described by Google and is used by them to rate the quality of content of a particular page. Whether you use Google or any other search engine, if you have created your content, whether articles or videos, keeping EEAT in mind, you can expect the similar results in terms of search engine rankings. As for EEAT itself, it refers to Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trustworthiness. This means that if a content has all of these qualities, it will be a content worth of readership or viewership of more people browsing online or searching on search engines.

Experience: Lessons from your life

If you have used a product or service for a long period, you will know how good it is. If there is a new similar product or service introduced in the market, you would be easily be able to compare it with those you have experience of and tell how they are better or worse, indicating enhancements or suggesting improvements. So, if you write real life case studies about how the offerings have been able to serve you well or changed the way you live, many people will have some very interesting information to look forward to. If you include photos or videos that prove what you have written, these will be very useful too.

Expertise: Master of the topic

It’s a fact that a doctor will know more about a medicine than other persons, or those with driving licenses will be able to describe their vehicle journeys better. Having a qualification or license proves that you are someone who will produce content that has some genuine views about it. Yes, if you know a topic well and deal with it in everyday life, you will be considered an expert. Another example is a lawyer, who would know about the laws of the land he belongs to. You can always list your details at the end of the page or at beginning, indicating that you have sound knowledge. If you are author of a website, you can dedicate a page related to your expertise.

Authoritativeness: How well you are known?

If your website receives a lot of visitors, you can consider yourself an authority on the product or services offered by our website. If your website has received awards or had been recognized for any reason, you must furnish the details, so the readers are sure that they are on the right page. If your website is mentioned by others online, you certainly are someone popular for a certain reason. At the least you should try to have links to your website from mother popular ones, through blogs on them or any other means, as this is considered an indicator of your authoritativeness by Google. In every business there are entities large and small, of course the larger ones will usually be older ones, names instantly recognized even prior to the internet era. On the other hand there will be smaller ones too, which are known for their recent good works. So, your standing in the market will again describe your authoritativeness online.

Trustworthiness: Proving yourself worthy of trust

If you list that you provide some accurate information, and you offer contrary to that, you can expect negative impact on the readers. They may publish negative comments, though you could also be congratulated about the wonderful work you are doing. If you offer correct contact information, you will be trusted more. Also, you should secure your website, as if it gets hacked, again your credibility will be in doubt. You should avoid fake information of any kind, including reviews or misleading headlines. Trust is always earned and this you will be able to do through the accurate content that you offer on your website.

Conclusion

I have tried to describe in practical terms, with what is to be done and what should be avoided. With EEAT you will be able to gain higher rankings on search engines and keep visitors browsing your website satisfied. Incorrect information can harm those browsing online and put a question mark on the reputation of the search engines. They will, hence, want to make sure that you are listed by them only if you follow the principles of EEAT.
